Present:

Dave Johnson-Supervisor, Dick Toomey-Treasurer, Jon Jennings-Supervisor, Greg Scherzer-

Supervisor, Becky Bergerson-Deputy Clerk

 

  1. Meeting was called to order by Supervisor Johnson at 7:03 pm
  2. Additions to the agenda were called for.

Motion to approve the agenda by Scherzer, second Johnson, passed 3-0

  1. Motion to dispense with the reading of the minutes; approve the minutes of the last regular meeting as written. Motion by Johnson, second by Scherzer, passed 3-0
  2. Treasurer report:

--Cash Balance of $21,310.25

--Invested Balance of $46,142.60

--Total Balance of$67,452.85

Motion to approve treasurerís report by Johnson, second by Jennings, passed 3-0

  1. Claims for payment

A. Triangle AGLLC for Spraying$937.45 -will bill LaPrairie for their prorated portion.

Motion to approve payment by Johnson, second by Jennings, passed 3-0

B. Lindgren Backhoe for Road repair on Big Hill and Seaberg 4,500.00

Project not done yet, motion made by Scherzer to pay $3,000.00 and hold balance until work is completed, second Johnson, passed 3-0

C. Don Rooney for gravel and blading $2,156.50 (19 yards of gravel at $100.00 a yard, rest for blading, again prorated for LaPrairie.

Motion to approve payment by Jennings, second by Scherzer, passed 3-0

D. Clearwater County $664.98 ($346.23 for blading, rest for culvert)

Motion to approve payment by Scherzer, second by Jennings, passed 3-0

  1. Old Business
    1. Work still to be done on Seaberg by Lindgren Backhoe
    2. Spot gravel on Seaberg, approximately three more truckloads, work to be done by Rooney

Motion made by Johnson to approve $500.00 for gravel, second Scherzer, passed 3-0

    1. Weed report: Supervisor Scherzer filed a complaint with Environmental Office, no reply as of yet.There was a brief discussion on whether to bring matter up at the next County†††

    1. Supervisor Scherzer presented letter putting forth concerns of the board about Frank††††

††††††††††††††††††††††† Sundahlís dogs. Motion to send letter as drafted by Johnson, second by Jennings, passed†††

3-0. Deputy Clerk to make copies and send letters as directed.

  1. New Business
    1. Clearwater County Access Management Public Meeting is Sept 5 dealing with platting of land, subdivisions and developments. Supervisor Johnson hopes to attend along with any other board members that can make it.
    2. Certification of final tax levy for 2008 is due Aug 20th. Levy was set as $6,000.00. After discussion, motion made by Johnson to reduce levy to zero.Motion failed for lack of second. After discussion, motion made by Johnson to leave levy as approved at $6,000.0, second by Scherzer, passed 2-1, Scherzer, and Jennings for, Johnson against.
    3. Vacation of road right of way requested by Jesse Cox, after discussion it was decided that nothing needs to be done at present.
    4. Discussion of a letter from the Census Bureau requesting help for updating local addresses

Motion made by Johnson not to participate, second by Scherzer, passed 3-0.

Discussion of letter from Triangle Ag with account info for paying spraying bill.

Discussion of a letter informing of federal to money available to upgrade polling places. LLL Township does not have itís own polling place therefore no action will be taken.
