The Board of Audit was called to order at 7:00 pm. The board reviewed the treasurerís year-end report for 2012. Motion to approve the 2012 audit report and file it with State Department was made by G. Scherzer, second by A. Johnson, passed 3-0.

 

Motion to adjourn the Board of Audit was made by G. Scherzer, second by A. Johnson, passes 3-0.

 

Regular Town Board Meeting of

LONG LOST LAKE TOWNSHIP

  1. Meeting was called to order by Supervisor Dave Johnson at 7:10 pm.

 

  1. Additions for the agenda were called for: under New Business- Big Hill Sand for Icy Conditions Ė Ardell Johnson and Letter for LaPrairie Township Ė David Johnson. Motion to accept the agenda made by D. Johnson, second by A. Johnson, passed 3-0

 

  1. Reading of the Minutes

A motion to dispense with the reading of the minutes and approve the minutes of the last regular meeting as written made by D. Johnson, second by A. Johnson, passed 3-0.

 

  1. Treasurerís Report (See details on attached reports)

  1. Old Business
    1. 2014 Budget Approval

There was a brief discussion of changes made in the 2014 budget. Motion made to adopt the 2014 budget was made by G Scherzer, second by D. Johnson, passed 3-0

    1. Traffic Sign Inspection Results

Supervisor D Johnson gave a summery of the inspection of traffic signs done with Supervisor A. Johnson. The signs were divided into three categories; 1.Not needing replacement 2. Need immediate replacement†† 3. Marginal, replace as to funding availability. Curve signs are not mandatory. Replacement costs depend on type of new signs used. This is a federal mandate, passed on to the states, then counties and townships.

    1. Big Hill Sand for Icy Conditions

A new source is needed for this sand. Supervisor A. Johnson had contacted Dan Bergstrom of Rochert, MN. A discussion was held on qualifications, distance and availability. Supervisor A. Johnson who has responsibility for roads was to use his discretion about the matter, as it is a needed service for Big Hill Road.

    1. Letter for LaPrairie Township

Supervisor D. Johnson passed around a letter to be sent to LaPraire Township informing them ofupcoming plans for improvements to township roads that have shared costs. The letter was approved and Supervisor D Johnson signed it.

 

 

 

 

 

  1. New Business
    1. Preparation for Annual Meeting

Supervisor D Johnson went over plans for the upcoming annual meeting. He would prepare a packet of information to be distributed and walked through the agenda for the meeting.

B. Schedule Road Inspection Tour

It was decided to set up the plan for the spring road inspection tour on Friday April 5th. Supervisor D. Johnson will call at that time to set up a specific time and date to do the tour. If conditions warrant the tour will be done before the next township board meeting onApril 10th.
