Regular Town Board Meeting of
LONG LOST LAKE TOWNSHIP
December 12, 2006
Dave Johnson Supervisor, Greg Scherzer Supervisor, Jon Jennings Supervisor, Dick Toomey Treasurer, Marv Mortenson - Clerk
1. Meeting was called to order by Supervisor Johnson at 7:00 pm.
2. Additions to the agenda called for: Under old business Spraying
Motion to approve the agenda by Johnson, second by Scherzer passed 3-0
3. Motion to dispense with the reading of the minutes; approve the minutes of the last meeting as written. Motion by Johnson, second by Scherzer passed 3-0
4. Treasurer report:
-- Cash Balance of $15,428.76
-- Invested Balance of $25,179.27
-- Total Balance of $40,608.03
Motion to approve Treasurers report by Johnson, second by Scherzer passed 3-0
Motion to approve the transfer of $4,000.00 from the General Fund to the Road and Bridge Fund by Scherzer, second by Jennings passed 3-0
5. Claims for payment:
$357.00 to Clearwater County for road blading
Motion to approve payment, Jennings, second Scherzer passed 3-0
6. Old Business:
--Cautionary speed limit signs. Direct the Road Supervisor (Jennings) to purchase six, 20 MPH, cautionary signs from the MR Sign Company. The signs are to be erected at the junction : 1. 39 and Big Hill, 2. 39 and Chimney, 3. Chimney and McKenzie, 4. McKenzie and Little Rock, 5. McKenzie and Big Hill, 6. McKenzie and Walde.
Motion by Scherzer, second by Jennings passed 3-0
-- Road repair: Met with contractors on Dec. 4 & 5, have not received bids.
-- Recording of roads: A resolution will be prepared for the annual meeting that will list/show the roads of the township and their classification.
-- Spraying for weeds. Blake Peterson, part time weed control for the county, will be contacted in April to discuss options for LLL Township.
7. New Business:
-- Calendar for 2007: Motion to approve calendar as proposed by Johnson, second by Jennings passed 3-0 (See attached copy)
-- Annual Audit will be conducted at the Feb. 14th, 2007 meeting.
-- Letter concerning beaver control and grant money was reviewed. The board sees no reason for the township to participate at this time.
-- Annual Weed Report form was reviewed and completed.
8. Call for adjournment at 8:57 pm, motion by Jennings, second by Scherzer passed 3-0
