Regular Town Board Meeting of
LONG LOST LAKE TOWNSHIP
April 10, 2007
Dave Johnson – Supervisor, Jon Jennings – Supervisor, Dick Toomey – Treasurer, Marv Mortenson - Cleck -Greg Scherzer - Supervisor
1. Meeting was called to order by Supervisor Johnson at 7:00 pm.
2. Additions to the agenda were called for.
- add the Clearwater Township meeting
-purchase of CD's
Motion to approve the agenda by Scherzer second by Johnson – passed 3-0
3. Motion to dispense with the reading of the minutes; approve the minutes of the last regular meeting as written. Motion by Johnson, second by Scherzer – passed 3-0

4. Treasurer report:
-- Cash Balance of $31,100.23
-- Invested Balance of $25,543.20

Motion to approve Treasurer’s report by Jennings, second by Scherzer– passed 3-0
5. Claims for payment:
$150.00 to Clearwater County for snow removal
$ 46.00 to Marv Mortenson recording fee
Motion to approve payment, Scherzer, second by Jennings – passed 3-0
6. Old Business:
A. Board will invite Blake Peterson to next months meeting to discuss spraying issues.
B. Motion to approve the Clearwater County Maintenance Agreement was made by Johnson, second by Jennings – Passed 3-0
C. Public lake access: Mr. Kimball‘s memory needed some refreshing. The board is to contact him in late May.
D. Mr. Scherzer visited with the owner of the dogs that killed his chickens (17). The owner agreed that his dogs have been causing problems and says he will fence them in his yard. Mr. Scherzer will write a letter and send copies to the Tribal Housing Authority, Tribal Conservation Office and Sheriffs Dept. stating the positive intentions of the owner. The LLL Board will write a supporting cover letter.
E. Resolution 2007-01 was recorded with the Clearwater County Recorder on March 21st, 2007 at 2:15 pm under the number: A 150504
F. Road projects: Sup. Jennings informed the board that Shegrud Backhoe Services is no longer accepting projects. Therefore the motion, passed at last month’s meeting, was rescinded by the board. The motion to rescind was made by Johnson, second by Jennings –passed 3-0
(Motion to hire Shegrud Backhoe Services to do the two road projects with an estimated expense of $5,780.00 by Scherzer, second by Jennings – passed 3-0)
Sup. Jennings will meet with Lindgren Backhoe to discuss the road projects and report to the board next month.
7. New Business:
A. LLL Township received a Forfeited Taxes from the county on March 29, 2007 in the amount of $22,347.62. This amount is at least $15,000 more than anticipated. Therefore the board discussed the appropriateness of changing the Property tax levy for 2008. The decision was made to revisit the issue at the September meeting.
B. Treasurer Toomey was instructed by the board to purchase additional CD’s. In the amount of $10,000. Motion by Scherzer second by Jennings passed 3-0
C. Reminder: Clearwater County Townships meeting is April 24th at 7:00 in the Bagley Senior Citizens Center.
8. Adjournment motion by Scherzer, second by Jennings—passed 3-0
